Peter Joseph Tarascou, Jr, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather died on Monday, March 31 at the age of 74 surrounded by his family.  Known for his kind smile, he was as quick to make a friend as he was to lend a hand when there was work to be done.

He is survived by his wife Cathy, his children Greg and his wife Rochelle, Jamie and her husband Chase, his son Mark, Jim and his wife Becky, his son Tommy, and daughter Kristy and her husband Brian; his grandchildren Chris, Gillian, Ryan, MacKenzie, Stetson, ShayLee, Shyanne, Shane, Mason, Hilary, Dakota and Nathan and great-grandchildren Jukes and Brooks.

Peter was born in Upland, California on May 6, 1950 to Peter Tarascou, Senior and Murtis Earp Tarascou.  Raised on a farm, his dedication to hard work and his family never waned, moving from California to their dream horse ranch in Leighton, Alabama in 1993.  Here he continued to work with his hands in trade professions while maintaining their functioning ranch with his family.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing games with his kids and spending his quiet time with Cathy, his wife of 29 years.  He will be greatly missed.
