Percy Andrew Eaton, 76, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Eaton was born on April 15th, 1949, in Huntsville, to Jack and Dorothy (Cruse) Eaton.
Mr. Eaton is survived by his wife, Mazie Jones Eaton; children, Gina Eaton Brand (Dwayne) and Danny Eaton (Wendy); grandchildren, Jonathan Eaton (Keithe), Ashlee Rodgers (Matt), Alyssa Brand McCay (Caleb), and Amber Brand Maples (Dillon); great-grandchildren, Rilynn Blankenship, Emery Rodgers, Ellie Rodgers, and Ollie Eaton; sister, Debbie Eaton Lewis (Bobby); step-children, Bill Smith (Becky), Gretta Lindsey (Jeff); Joseph Smith, and Spencer Smith (Jane); step-grandchildren, Jarrod Smith (Nakita), Ashton Scott (Jacob), Caleb Lindsey (Kate), Nelson Smith (Carrie), Brooksie Smith, Lee Carter Smith, Brooklyn Smith (Ryland), Cannan Smith; step-great-grandchildren; Cayden Smith, Mazie Kate Smith, Atticus Scott, Ivy Scott, Anna Lindsey, and Hadley Smith; and a host of friends and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving, late wife of twenty-eight years, Katherine Lamb Eaton; parents, Jack and Dorothy Eaton; and brother, Bobby Eaton.
Funeral services for Mr. Eaton will be Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 12:00 p.m., with Dusty McLemore and Andy John King officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:00 to 11:45 a.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Eaton, Matt Rodgers, Kaleb McCay, Dillon Maples, Jarrod Smith, Caleb Lindsay, Nelson Smith, and Lee Carter Smith. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery: 4809 Winchester Rd, New Market, AL 35761.
Mr. Eaton was a Vulcan Material Company employee for forty-three years. Since 1996, he was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. He loved God, family, fishing, Gatlinburg, and Alabama football.
