Pauline King, 92, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. Her visitation will be Monday from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Henry King, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Dillis Thrasher.
She is survived by her son, Horace King (Judy); grandsons, Ronnie King and Robbie King (Lisa); granddaughter, Robyn Puckett (Shane); great-grandchildren, Josh King (Lauren), Blake King, Amber Puckett, Baylee King, and Ashlee Puckett; sister, Ocille Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. King was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals, loved spending time with her grandkids, family and friends, working in her garden and cooking, sitting on the front porch or cleaning fish with Henry. Now she is with her husband, Henry, forever. When God received her on Saturday, He said “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”
Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Robbie King, Shane Puckett, Josh and Blake King, and Lawrence Puller. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth King, Edward (Butch) Nipper, and Randall Fuller.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Victory Baptist Church, in Muscle Shoals.
Colbert Memorial Chapel, Tuscumbia, is directing.
