Paula Nell Phillips Weigant, age 76 of Jasper, passed away July 27, 2016, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. She was a ballroom dancer and traveled over 20 states during her 40 marriage to her husband, Robert. She was employed at Alabama Power for a number of years and was a paralegal for Balch, Baker, Hawthorne, Williams and Ward law firm where, after several years, she retired.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 pm in the chapel. Rev. Sammie Reid to officiate. Burial will be at the Alabama National Cemetery on Friday. Visitation will be Thursday from 1pm to 2pm in the chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vollie and Cora Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Weigant; and brothers, Gordon and David Phillips.
