Billy Mink James was born November 17, 1925 in Golden, Ms. He passed away July 26, 2016 at the age of 90 at his home in Haleyville, AL. He retired from the United States Navy as a Captain after 30 years of service, having served during WWll, Korean War and the Vietnam War, where he was awarded numerous Medal’s and Commendation’s and was a member of Corinth Heights Baptist Church. He was a member of Haleyville Country Club for over 30 years, had a 3 handicap in golf.
Billy’s visitation will be Thursday July 28, 2016 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., with his funeral at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel, with Dr. Lance Hogan officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
