Paul Jeffery Green, aged 78, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. Born on December 2nd, 1947, in Athens, Paul was the son of the late Herschel and Callie Reed Green.
Paul leaves behind the love of his life of 50 years, Judy Green, and his son, Paul J. Green, II. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Joyce Adams and Patsy Adams, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings: Betty Thompson, Marvin Green, Roy Green, Charles Green, and Wayne Green.
Friends and family are invited to gather and honor Paul’s life at the visitation on Monday, March 16th, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A funeral service, officiated by Jimmy Clark, will follow at 2:00 PM. Paul will be laid to rest at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Paul was a dedicated employee at Teledyne, where he contributed his skills and talents. In his personal life, he enjoyed playing cards and checkers, and was an avid Alabama football fan. The music of George Jones brought him joy, and those who knew him will remember him fondly for his love of life and the warmth he brought to those around him.
Paul Jeffery Green will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
