Martha Evelyn "Peggy" Braddy Martha Evelyn “Peggy” Braddy, a woman remembered for her faith, kindness, and warm embrace, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Lexington. She was 83
.
Mrs. Braddy was born January 6, 1943, in Giles County, Tennessee, to the late Robert Allen Hogan and Willie M. Moore Hogan. Known to many simply as “Peggy,” she lived a life rooted in faith and devotion to the people she loved. She was a faithful, long-time member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.

Her family describes her as thoughtful, full of faith, and someone who truly loved people. Peggy enjoyed tending to her flowers and was known as a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing meals for those she cared about. She had a way of making people feel welcome, and many will remember her for the great, firm hugs she gave so freely

Family meant everything to her. She cherished her role as Granny and Memaw to her growing family and found great joy in the time she spent with them.

Mrs. Braddy is survived by her daughters, Peggy Sue Powers (Robin), Lora England, and Sherry Overman (Wayne); her sons, Darryl Braddy and Joseph Braddy; and her brothers, Jimmy Hogan and Jerry Hogan. She was the proud Granny and Memaw of ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the Braddy family will be Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm and Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with interment following at Lexington Cemetery.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love, faith, and kindness Peggy shared throughout her life will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
