Patsy Gail Akers, 72 of Cordova, passed away Friday May 19, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Akers spent her professional career as an LPN. She worked for many years at Forestdale Health Care. She worked on staff at Donaldson Correctional Facility and in later years as a Home Health nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Akers; parents, Neal and Verbal Jordan; sisters, Betty Akers and Beverly Sutherland and brothers, Jimmy Jordan and Billy Adams.
Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey Akers and wife Erin and Jonathan Akers and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Alana and Kayley Briggs; sisters, Kathy Hadder (Ed) and Nellie Jackson; brothers, Gary Hulsey and Phillip Jordan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Monday May 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ron Green will officiate. Burial will follow at New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
