Patsy Annette Norwood Huntley, age 82 of Athens died Wednesday at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Huntley was born January 7, 1938 in Lawrence County, Tennessee. She was a excellent cook and homemaker. Mrs. Huntlet was a avid supporter of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed her Monday card group. Mrs. Huntley was a member of First Baptist Church Athens, where she was active for many years in Vacation Bible School.
Services will be 12 noon Saturday at First Baptist Church, Athens with Dr. Joel Carwile officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until service time. A graveside service will be at 3:30 pm at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be James William Huntley Smith. Jeffery William Huntley Jr. Matthew Steven Huntley. Ryan Joseph Smith, James Benedict Smith and Jeffery William Huntley Sr. Her late Grandson Nicholas Andrew Huntley will be a honorary pallbearer.
Survivors. Husband, William F. Huntley of Athens.
Daughter, Jennifer (James) Smith of Athens.
Son, Jeffery (Kristal) Huntley of Madison.
Grandchildren, Jeffery William Huntley Jr. Matthew Huntley, Elizabeth (Ryan) Smith. William (Lauren) Smith.Great Grandchildren, Jeffery Huntley III. Lilly Huntley. Watson Smith.
She had numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Huntley was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm Powell Norwood and Maggie Elizabeth Adams Norwood. Grandson, Nicholas Andrew Huntley. Sister, Clara Richardson. Brother, J.W. Norwood .
