Obituary of Patsy Ann Sappington Patsy Ann Sappington, age 83, passed away at NMMC in Tupelo, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 9, 1941 to Odell Jessie Rogers and Mary Studdard Rogers Sparks. Patsy was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She retired after 30 years of working at Hancock Fabrics. Patsy enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, dancing and spending time with her beloved dog,“Roxey”.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Wilder officiating, burial will follow in the Immanuel Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Sappington family.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Mitzi Stokes (Wayne), Karen Washington and Sharen Sewell (Perry); one son, Chris Sappington (Shawn); one sister, Louise Bell; a sister-in-law, Ophelia Sewell; seven grandchildren, Ashley Stubblefield (Chad), Anna Lauren McDonald (Austin), Haley Sewell, Wesley Sewell, Shelby Edwards (Latham Brister), Jacob Edwards (Laken Tedford), and Will Sappington; five great grandchildren, Case Stubblefield, Sadie Stubblefield, Lizzy Hamblin, Hayzen Ross Edwards and Casen Jack Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Sappington, who passed away on their 55th wedding anniversary; two brothers, Lamar Rogers and James Rogers; and a great granddaughter, Ellie Jayde Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Will Sappington, Jacob Edwards, Wesley Sewell, Austin McDonald, Chad Stubblefield and Jerry Garrison.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. and Friday from 1 to 2 P.M., at the funeral home.

The family request that memorials may be sent to Immanuel Baptist Church, 2681 Rowland Road, Pontotoc, MS 38863.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the ladies of Immanuel Baptist Church for their care and compassion shown to Patsy.
