Patrick Jonah Yim, age 81, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 31, 2026.

Patrick was born on October 24, 1944, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Thomas and Marjorie Yim. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu in 1962 and was proud to have participated in the ceremony commemorating Hawaii’s admission as the 50th state in 1959.

Patrick honorably served in the United States Army for more than 20 years, including service in Vietnam, and retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Two. Following his military career, he worked for many years in the defense industry before retiring from Boeing.

Patrick found great joy in singing, playing the ukulele, building and flying remote-control aircraft, and capturing family memories through photography.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marjorie Yim.

He is survived by his wife Eileen; his son, Michael (Deborah); his daughter, Tiare (Michael); his step-daughter, Megan; his siblings, Katherine, Thomas (Sandy), Agnes, and Ben; his grandchildren, Patrick, Daniel (Kira), Leilani, Melina, and Kalea; and his great-granddaughter, Charlotte.

Military honors will be held at the American Legion Post 237, 2900 Drake Ave. SW on April 23, 2026 at 10:30 am.
