Patrick Dewayne Ragsdale, age 38 of Cordova, passed away Monday July 4, 2021.
He was a retired Police Officer from the City of Sumiton Police Department. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery and attended Jacksonville State University. He was a member of Dora Church of God. He raised champion Coon dogs, he also loved to fish. He was certainly a friend to everyone.
Funeral services will be Thursday July 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lewis Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by an infant child; also by his grandparents, Erskine and Margie Miller, Perry Williams and his Granny, Nettie Williams; by his father-in-law, Scott Sipsy; aunt, Dennis Kay Haynes; uncle, Robert Miller and cousin, Michael Miller, and two of his best friends, Chris Daugherty and Bits Martin.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Jennifer Ragsdale; children, Autumn, Chloe and Ollie Ragsdale; his parents, Doug and Janice Ragsdale; grandparents, Billy and Alma Lee Ragsdale; brothers, Adam Ragsdale and wife Taylor and Nick Martin; mother-in-law, Teresa Sipsy; brother-in-law, Mark Sipisy; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Karley, Will and Aiden Ragsdale and Keyira, Malaki, Aubrey, Jase and Jax Sipisy; several other aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
