Delton Moore, 79, of Scotts Hill, passed away Sunday, July 4, at his residence. Mr. Moore was born in Decatur County on July 17, 1941, to the late Annie Bell Rosson Moore and Henry Moore. He was a member of The River United Pentecostal Church, and had been a factory worker, having worked at Salant & Salant and then retiring from Leroy Somer after over 20 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting, and always enjoyed being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Middleton Moore; daughter; Alisha (Landon) Carter; son; Wylie Adams III, sisters, Margie Williams, Argie (David) Durham, and Lucille Butts; a grandchild, Ashlyn Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Melton, Grady, and James Moore; and sisters Thelma Turpin, Pearl Smith, and Emily Kelly.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, and on Wednesday, July 7, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
