Patricia Stegall Priest, age 80, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 10, 1946, to Jeva Medrith and Callie Matthews Stegall. Patricia graduated from Algoma High School. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. Patricia enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, gardening, babysitting, and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 to 1 PM. The funeral service will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home, with Rev. Justin Varnon officiating; burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Priest family with the arrangements.
Survivors include her two daughters, Didi Chapin (Rick), Melena House (Quentin), four sons, Donnie Priest (Melisa), Ronnie Priest, Marty Priest (Lorie), and Shea Priest (Christi); eighteen grandchildren, Ty Priest (Shannon), Trent Priest (Tori), Lacy Adcock (Joseph), Holly Goode (Lance), Dixie Tyer (Cody), Candy Brown (Chris), Amy Priest, Remington Priest, Russell Priest, Clint Priest (Alexis), Colt Priest (Haylee), Addie Priest, Zach Priest (Cheyenne), Marshall Chapin (Katie), Logan Chapin, Aidin Chapin, Deacon House and Mason House; and twenty-one great grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Saxon, Sarah Galloway (Bailey), Kathy Weatherly; two brothers, Charlie Stegall and Ronald Stegall (Pat); five sisters-in-law, Jo Stegall, Jeane Stegall, Lora Mae Stegall, Elaine and Vertie Mae, and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buddy Priest, and three brothers, Joe Samuel Stegall, Jimmy Stegall and Donald Stegall.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
