Ms. Patricia Louise Barnett was born on January 17, 1948, to the late Gladys Key Cole and the late Sonny Andrews. She departed this life on Monday evening, November 20, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital.
Patricia confessed hope in Jesus Christ at an early age. She served as a member of Mt. Moriah P.B. Church in Florence, Alabama, under the leadership of the late Reverend Tolbert and Reverend Leroy Sawyer until her health started to decline later in life. She moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 2021 to be close to her family members.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Barnett, Jr.; mother, Gladys Cole; father, Sonny Andrews; grandmother, Louise Boddie; brother, Alex Cole; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Ingram; and nephew, Marvin Ingram.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: four sisters, Bobbie Jean (Frank) Brown of Florence, AL, Pamela Ingram of Huntsville, AL, Jo Anna Cole of Antioch, TN, and Debbie Simpson of Toney, AL; two brothers, Oscar (Hadassah) Cole, Jr. of Florence, AL and Manuel Cole of Atlanta, GA; devoted life-long sister-in-law, Ms. Cordy V. Covington of Forest Park, Ohio; life-long friend, Ms. Jeanie Ann Russell Beckwick, of Florence, AL; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church (820 W. Irvine Avenue, Florence, AL 35630) with Elder Curtis Banks officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Florence, AL. Mrs. Barnett will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
