Lynetta Ruth Kimbrell, age 93 of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Brookwood Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Alfred Hartley will officiate.
Mrs. Lynetta Ruth Gant Kimbrell, born January 24, 1930, was a member of Boldo First Baptist Church, where she was a teacher for the women’s Sunday school class. She was also an avid member of the Boldo Homemaker Club.
Mrs. Kimbrell was preceded in death by her Husband-Charles D. Kimbrell Sr. (Dutch); Mother-Stella Thompson Gant; Father-James Allen Gant; Sisters-Elaine Tidwell of Decatur and Rhuelna Swindle of Carbon Hill.
She is survived by her Daughter-Carolyn R. Tidwell (Reb) of Jasper, GA; Sons-Charles D. Kimbrell Jr. of Jasper, AL and David L. Kimbrell (Rosemary) of Jasper, AL; Brothers-James C. Gant of Enterprise, AL, Fred A. Gant of Anniston, AL, and Bill F. Gant of Adamsville, AL; Sister-Earcell Gant Liddell Winchester; Grandchildren-DeWyatt Tidwell (Wanda) of Jasper, GA, Bryan Tidwell (Camala) of Virginia, Courtney K. Morris (Brandon) of Jasper, AL, David R. Kimbrell (Jennifer) of Jasper, AL, and Charles D. Kimbrell III (Tara) of Florence, AL. 17 Great Grandchildren and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
