Patricia Ellen Vencill Parilli, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and dear friend passed away peacefully on the morning of the 21st of September 2025 at the age of 47. Born on the 28th of February 1978 in Fort Ord, California, she was the daughter of Major (Retired) Carleton Paul Vencill and Maria Luz Ycsiar Vencill.

Patricia was known for her infectious warmth, unyielding strength, and beautiful grace. She was a faithful wife and dedicated mother, always placing the needs of her family above her own. Her love and steadfast dedication for her husband, Colonel Luis Antonio “Tony” Parilli was a guiding light for over 18 years of marriage. Their relationship began in Alexandria, Virginia and was fostered through a passion for service, a common love of travel, and a deep devotion to each other. As a mother, she nurtured her two boys, Luis Antonio “Tony” Parilli II and Paul Alexander Parilli, with a loving spirit, a listening ear, and a warm embrace.

Patricia loved Huntsville, Alabama. Her formative years were spent at the Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School and at Grissom High School, where she graduated in 1996. She later attended the University of Boston and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2000 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. After separating honorably at the rank of Captain in 2008, she continued her education at Central Michigan University earning her Master of Arts in Education in 2016.

Patricia’s professional career was grounded in the service of others, first as an Officer and then as an educator. She served as a leader, a mentor, and role model for every young student at The Basilica School of Saint Mary in Alexandria, Virginia and at Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School in Huntsville, Alabama.

Patricia was a fierce competitor in the pool, earning an Alabama High School State Title in the Backstroke in 1996. Her love for swimming extended into a passion for Scuba Diving, where her adventures took her places like the Blue Hole in Belize, as well as the Red Sea. Particia was a voracious reader – passionate about learning, a home gardener – enthusiastic about her imported roses, and a dog lover – unapologetically pampering Enzo, our labradoodle.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Tony; her sons, Tony II and Paul; her father and stepmother, Carl and Linda; her mother, Maria; her brother, Charles; her aunt, Trish; her father and mother-in-law, Luis and Maritza; her sister and brother-in-law, Alex and Clay, and their children Christian, Mary Elizabeth, Mary Teresa, and Luc; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services include visitation on September 30, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m.at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, 2320 Bob Wallace Avenue, Huntsville, Alabama, and the Celebratory Mass on October 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 625 Airport Road SW, Huntsville, Alabama.
