CHEROKEE-A Part-time police officer with the Cherokee Police Department has been arrested on several charges stemming from the theft of evidence from the lockup at the Cherokee Police Department according to the Police Chief Jason Williamson.
The ALEA State Bureau of Investigations made the arrest of Nikki Dale Inman of 29th Street, Sheffield on Sunday night, January 17. Charges include Theft of Property 2nd, Tampering With Physical Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Iman has been released from employment from the Cherokee Police Department.
Inman who at one time worked for the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, Sheffield Police and Leighton Police before going to the Cherokee Police Department part-time was released on $3800 bond from the Colbert Count Jail or Sunday night.
