Pam Ballenger, 76, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Tuesday after an extended illness. Pam was born July 18, 1949, in LaGrange, GA, where she met her future husband, Dr. John Paul Ballenger, with whom she was married to for over 54 years. Pam was a retired teacher, having taught for over 30 years. She also enjoyed teaching piano lessons from her home for many years. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John Paul Ballenger; and her son, Christopher. Survivors include her son, Paul; daughter-in-law, Shannon; grandsons, Jackson and Hunter Ballenger, and John Paul Lahiere.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm CST, Monday, April 27, 2026, at Maple Hill Cemetery with John Holloway officiating. A post-funeral gathering will be held at First Baptist Church of Huntsville immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the ASPCA.
