Ophelia Ruth Glover

Ophelia Ruth Glover 85, passed at her home. Ophelia was born in Madison County Alabama and grew up in Gurley, Alabama. She was a lifelong member of Cave Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Glover, her parents, Elmer and Ola Ruth Thompson, sisters Jewel Pence and Lib Parton and two brothers, Ray Thompson and Tom Thompson.

Survivors include her sons, William Dwight Glover of New York, NY and Barry Daniel Glover (Pam) of Gurley, AL; three grandchildren: Victoria Glover, (Andrew) Washington, DC, Alexandria Glover (Preston), Athens, GA and William Daniel Glover of Gurley, AL. One great grandchild, Reed Smith of Athens, GA. One special sister in law, Jewel Glover Martin (John Seney) of Gurley, Al, Special nieces, Pam Martin Barnes (Chris) and Rhonda Atchley (Tony), special nephews, John Seney Martin,Jr (Lora) and Mike Pence (Kathy Irving).

Ophelia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A private service was held at New Hope funeral home on August 10, 2021 with Brother Gary Gates officiating. Interment was at the Moon Cemetery.
