Opal Lee Dillard, age 86, of Russellville passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, AL from 12:00-2:00 pm with the service following at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Brother Chase Dowdy of First Baptist Church Russellville will be officiating. Bro. Greg Beasley of Valley Grove Baptist Church will be reading the obituary. Interment will be at Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville, Alabama.
Opal was born on February 28, 1939, in Russellville, Alabama. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Russellville. Opal was the Division Office Manager at Blue Bell/Wrangler in Hackleburg, Alabama for many years before retiring.
She was a wonderful mother who cared for her daughter very much. She loved her family very much. She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Dillard; daughter, Cindy Bailey (Chris); siblings, Ray Kimbrough (Laura), Fay Gaston (Mike), Joy Reed, Mark Kimbrough (Lori); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Kimbrough and Earlene Southern.
The family would like to give a special thanks to “Happier at Home” and Aveanna Hospice for their caring support showed to Opal during her final days.
