FLORENCE-Florence Police have one man in custody and are looking for a second suspect in a home invasion case that took place on Eclipse Street at midnight on Saturday, February 28.
Here is how the Florence Police describe events and what they are still investigating:
“Florence Man Charged With Assault And Burglary Following Saturday Night Incident; Officers responded to the 300 block of South Eclipse Street at midnight Saturday to a reported home invasion. The victims stated that two men, one armed with a rifle and one believed to be armed with a bat broke through the front door of the residence and assaulted one of the occupants of the home. Investigators responded and their investigation has led to charges being filled against Thomas Edward Wallace, 23, of Florence. Wallace is charged with Assault 1st degree and Burglary 1st degree. He is currently being held in the LCDC on $55,000 bond. Police are still searching for a second suspect in this case.
