One Reported Dead After Tractor-Trailer Overturns Near Jasper

JASPER-ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) reports a traffic fatality near Jasper on Friday, May 6:

“A single-vehicle crash at 3:45 a.m. today, May 6, has claimed the life of an Empire man. Robert Edward Brown, 44, was killed when the 2005 Volvo tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway and overturned in the median. Brown was pronounced dead on the scene. The crash occurred on Interstate 22, near the 56 mile marker, one mile west of Jasper. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
