One Man Dies From Injuries Received In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Laceys Spring

LACEYS SPRING-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has reported a two-vehicle accident near Laceys Spring that has taken the life of one person and sent another person to hospital:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:18 p.m. Friday, September  5, has claimed the life of a Marbury man.

John P. Streit, 21, was fatally injured when the 2015 Honda Fit he was driving collided head-on with the 2004 Peterbilt dump truck driven by Shannon L. Creel, 50, of Holly Pond. Streit was pronounced deceased at the scene. Creel was injured and transported to Marshall Medical Center North in Guntersville for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Union Grove Road near King Drive, approximately two miles south of Laceys Spring, in Marshall County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
