Private Graveside Service for Ollie W. Scott, age 88, of Vestavia Hills, was held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Bethel Methodist Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Scott passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital. He was born March 21, 1932, to C. J. and Ana Scott.
He retired from South Central Bell. He loved “beagling” and spending time with his family. Spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was his greatest joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rita Scott; son-in-law, Craig McMahan; six brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary Alice Priest Scott; daughter, Donilda McMahan; son, Brett (Sherry) Scott; grandchildren, Kelli (Randy) Bjornstad, Kevin McMahan, and Ryan Amos; great-grandchildren, Emma Bjornstad, Davis Bjornstad, Houston Bjornstad, and Brianna McMahan; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
