Funeral for Olivia Faye “Mamaw” Bradford, 81, of Chalbyeate will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 5 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hollis Retherford and Brother Donnie Moore officiating. Burial will be in Old Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 and Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bradford, who died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at her home, was born July 6, 1932, in Lawrence County to the late Rube and Maggie Glenn Voss. She retired from Prestolite and Parkway Chevron. She was a “Die Hard” Alabama fan and everybody’s Mamaw Bradford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Lee Bradford; daughter, Kathy Jane Bradford; sisters, Leona Eady and Doris Peters; twin brother, Garth Voss; grandson, Christopher Byars; great-grandson, Colby Joe Dotson and sister, Mary Gillespie.
Survivors include two sons, Dewey Lamar Bradford and Joy of Trinity and Kenneth Peters and Deb; eight daughters, Mae Ellen Standridge and David of Trinity, Nan Holmes of Decatur, Brenda Morris and Bill of Stevenson, Margie Hampton and Ronnie of Trinity, Patricia Thomas and Jim of Trinity, Tammy Nichols and Kim of Hatton, Becky Bradford of Chalybeate and Penny Byars and Craig; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
