Ola Dean Hollis, age 55 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with graveside and burial to follow in Brown Cemetery. Bro. Bud Glass will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.

Ola Dean Hollis was born on July 6, 1961 to the late Mr. James Hollis and Mrs. Ola Mae Fleming Hollis. She graduated from Sulligent High School in May of 1979. She joined Powell Chapel CME Methodist Church at young age and was committed to living her adult life as a faithful devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, coworker, home-maker and caretaker. Ola was employed over 16 years at Chromolax Manufacturing. The most rewarding opportunity she had was working with the children and staff of the Challenger Program in Fayette, Alabama. Ola was loved by many. She had a kindred spirit unlike no other. She never met a stranger or denied a friend.

She leaves to cherish these loving memories of her to Lester Ray Wilson, Sr., two daughters; Dionna Hollis and Sharae Wilson, three step-sons; Erik, Lester Ray (Lacy) Wilson, Jr., Cornelius Roy (Jasmyne)Wilson, two step-daughters; Leslie Weir and Ashley Weir, two sisters; Sally Mae (Bob Joe) Johnson and Georgia Ann (Clyde) Kaufman, sister-in-law; Rose (Melbourne) Savage, one niece; Ruby Renee Johnson, four nephews; Anthony (Vanessa) Kaufman, James Robert Patrick (Angela) Johnson, Alex Kaufman, and Lil Melbourne Savage, two great nephews Xavier Kaufman and Omarion Devonte’ Jones, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends, and classmates.
