Officers Respond To Shots Fired…One Man Dead

shooting-6-200x150FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement regarding a shooting that left one man dead on Tuesday, November 22:

 

“On November 22, 2016 just before 3 a.m., the Florence Police Department responded to the 1100 block of East Limestone Street to a call of multiple gunshots being fired in the area.

  Upon arrival, Florence Police officers found a black male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, at a nearby residence.  Officers began administering first aide until EMS arrived on the scene.  The male, who is currently unidentified, was transported to ECM Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

  Florence Police officers established a crime scene and Florence Police Detectives responded to the scene and are currently processing the scene.  At this time, multiple firearms have been recovered from the crime scene. 

Detectives believe that there are more witnesses who may have helpful information pertaining to the case.  Anyone having information related to this incident is asked to call the Florence Police Department at 256-760-6610 or Shoals Area Crime Stoppers at 256-386-8685.”
