Norman Roger Thorn, 81, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born in Pleasant Site to Leon Fay and Eva Malene Bates Thorn. He was retired from Cherokee Nitrogen working as an operator. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 23, 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Keith Prince officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2-4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie Ruth Thorn; two sons, Tim Thorn and Greg Thorn (Kristie); sister, Rebecca Holland (Randy); grandchildren, Jordan Clark (Jonathon), Matthew Thorn, Austin Thorn (Hope) and Nicholas Thorn (Amber); great-grandchildren, Ansley Hallman, Alex Clark, Andrew Clark and Karter Thorn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Austin Thorn, Nicholas Thorn, Matthew Thorn, Jonathon Clark, Radley Holland and Reggie Holland.
