Larry Mills, 70, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at North MS Medical Center in Hamilton, AL. He was born in Guin, AL to James Eber and Willa Jean Kerr Mills. He retired from Cooper Tire after having worked for over 30 years. He attended Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 23, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Tim Harris and Bobby Bennett officiating. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Reed Mills; two children, Ashlee Steele (Scotty) and Chet Mills (fiancé, Sadie Rader); grandchildren, Cohen Steele and Darby Steele; one sister, Karon Wells (Kim); sister-in-law, Linda Reed and nieces and nephews, Pat Reed, Jr. (Jodi), Cindy Reed, Kalim Wells (Chelsea), Kollin Wells (Tracy) and Kaynon Thorn (Andy).
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Dewey and Lessie Reed and his brother-in-law, Pat Reed.
Pallbearers will be Pat Reed, Jr., Reed Gasaway, Scotty Gasaway, Kalim Wells, Kollin Wells and Andy Thorn. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Mac Blandchard, Ricky Gattis and Henry Shackleford.
