With deep sorrow and unwavering faith, the family of Norman Glenn Burns, 86 of Lawrenceburg, TN, announces his relocation to Heaven on Sunday morning, May 24, 2026. He departed this earthly life doing exactly what he loved most – exploring the fields of the treasured multi-generational family farm he cherished so dearly.

A devoted Christian, loving husband, proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Norman was the steady rock of his family. His life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering integrity, hard work, and a deep love for both God and family. He faithfully provided for those he loved through many years as maintenance supervisor at Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company and as co-owner of his own electrical business, where his strong work ethic and dependable character earned him respect. He served his country honorably in the Army Reserves.

For 63 beautiful years, he shared a love story and life long friendship with his beloved wife and best friend, Brenda Fisher Burns. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, laughter, and devotion – creating a legacy that will continue for generations to come.

He found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life: casting a fishing line into quiet waters, deer and turkey hunting at sunrise, and working the land. The farm was more than a home to him, it was part of who he was.

Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds great comfort in knowing that as he entered Heaven’s gates, he was surely greeted by his Savior, Jesus, and reunited with his beloved grandson, Colt, whom he deeply loved and missed.

His legacy lives on in the family he led so faithfully, the values he instilled, and the countless memories made on the farm he loved. He will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his gentle wisdom, his servant’s heart, and the unwavering love he gave to his family.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Stella Kidd Burns; brothers, Leroy (Willie Tice) Burns, Franklin (Annette Jackson) Burns, sister, Frances (William) Franks; and his best buddy grandson, Colter Perry.

Norman is survived by his wife, Brenda Fisher Burns; daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Perry and Letha (Ronny) Lee; grandchildren, Savannah (Derek) Malone, Graham (Bailey) Lynch, Maggie (Conner) Perkins, Mary Taylor Lee (Tyler) Wolaver, Dalton Perry, Boone Perry, and Dawson Lee; great-grandchildren, Emmy Perkins, Beckham Perkins, and Tatum Malone; one brother, Kenneth Burns; along with several nieces; and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 28, 2026, with David Hill and Lester Robbins officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in memory of Colter Perry, or the Unity Cemetery Care Fund.
