Norma Clare Spalding Pyron beloved mother, grandmother, sister and wife passed away July 19th, 2018 in Bedford Texas. She was born March 17th, 1932 in Wilson, Arkansas. Norma Clare and her husband who preceded her in death, James Thomas “Tonnie” Pyron were pharmacists in Florence and Sheffield, Alabama for many years. She and her daughter Mary Beth moved to Texas in 2012 to be with her son Spalding Pyron.
Norma Clare and Mary Beth traveled the United States in 1960 to represent the March of Dimes. Mary Beth was the first child representing birth defects for the March of Dimes. Together they met many famous people, John F. Kennedy, LBJ, Dwight Eisenhower, and were even on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Norma Clare was loved and will always be fondly remembered for her humor and caring for others.
She is survived by her children, Spalding and his wife Johnette, and Mary Beth Pyron; sisters, Suzy Spalding Robbins and her husband Bill, and Sheri Spalding Berry. Grandchildren, Paige Darrah and Leslie Anne Pyron as well as two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claribel Hunt and Norbert A. Spalding and sister, Sandi Spalding Rogers.
