Funeral services for Mrs. Nora McCollum, age 69, are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, August 22, 2021 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Mrs. McCollum passed away early Wednesday in Lexington. She was born April 17, 1952 to the late Ernest and Oma Spain Funderburk. She worked in construction and loved spending time with her family and her dogs. You could call her anytime for help. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jimmy McCollum; her son, Freddy Wayne Lowrey; five brothers, Jerry, Max, R L, Joe, and Ernest Ray Funderburk; and three sisters, Linda Tucker, Dorothy Funderburk, and Kay Wheat. Survivors include her two sons, David McCollum (Amy) and Michael McCollum (Sheena); three brothers, William Funderburk (Ruby), Jackie Funderburk (Amy), and Terry Funderburk (Glenda); two sisters, Lisa Funderburk and Betty Sweatman; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday 11 AM – 9 PM and on Sunday 10 AM until time of service.
