Nona Aline Greer Young, age 89, of Russellville, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 08, 2025.
Nona was a beautiful lady, and a wonderful mother, Grandma, and Nona to her family and friends. She loved Jehovah and was a devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall of Russellville. Her daughter, Stephanie was her heart, her son, Herschel was her joy, but the sun rose and set on her granddaughter, Diana. She loved both of her grandchildren Diana and Zachary very much and was very involved in their lives and their upbringing. She was a bit of a character and always loved making everyone laugh. We will cherish our times with her.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Stephanie Ivey Cook (Tony Darrell Cook); son, Herschel Young; step-son, Mike Ivey; grandchildren, Diana Telete Cook, Zachary Arthur Cook; sisters, Edith Russell, Vonda Stutts; nieces & nephews, George Greer, Monica Greer, Sandra Greer, Maxwell Russell, Jessica Neal, Troy Russell, Leslie Russell, Bryan Russell, Telete Goins, Elizabeth Goins, Darrell Goins, Jared Adams, Tara Adams, Jayna Greer, Shannon Butler; as well as several great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Hamilton Lee Cook, siblings, Lester A. Greer, James Russell Greer, Cheryl Goins, and nephew, Bradley Adams.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 2978 County Road 48, Russellville. Exact times and date will be posted as soon as they are available.
