Nina Conner Clay – Obituary

Graveside service for Nina Conner Clay, 94, will be Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, 1 p.m. at Grinders Creek Cemetery in Hohenwald, Tennessee with the Reverend Spears officiating and McDonald Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald.

Mrs. Clay died Aug. 12, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Somerville. She was born Aug. 31, 1921 in Lewis County, Tennessee to Arnold and Fannie Conner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert H. Clay; a sister, Leo Ellen Fielder; and two grandchildren, Larry Clay and Anita Clay Jones.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy C. Dempsey (William), of Somerville; two sons, Harold Clay (Rachel), of El Paso, Texas, Hurshell Clay, of Huntsville; one brother, Bill Conner, of Columbia, Tennessee; five sisters, Lydia Floyd, of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Ruby Williams, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Jean Tabb, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Wilma Graham, of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Faye Pennington, of Williamsport, Tennessee; and seven grandchildren, Rhonda, Tina, Melissa, Steve, Carla, Emerald and Heath; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Nevaeh Goff.

Pallbearers will be family.
