Nicholas Andrew Huntley – Obituary

Nicholas Andrew Huntley, 23, of Madison, AL passed away May 20th. Nick was a 2011 graduate of Bob Jones High School and a 2016 graduate of Auburn University. Nick was a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Auburn. Nick was interning at the Ronald McDonald House in South Florida this summer.

Nick was an avid outdoorsman and thrived on hunting, fishing, boating, and Auburn football. He loved just being in God’s creation. During early college, he played on a professional paintball team, CEP Chattanooga.

At college, his focus was fraternity, friends, and football. He poured his life into his family, friends, and especially his fraternity brothers. Nick’s smile and giving spirit were contagious. He brought joy and happiness to all around him. He poured out his love to everyone, friend or stranger.

Survivors include his parents: Jeff and Kristal Huntley; two brothers: Jeff Huntley, Jr. (Marie) and Matthew Huntley; grandparent: William Huntley (Pat); grandfather: Glenn Durham; grandmother: Peggy Powell; niece: Lilly Madeline Huntley; nephew: Jeffrey Huntley III; and his beloved dog: Woody.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 28, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church in Madison, followed by a 3:00 p.m. service with Dr. Alan Weatherly officiating. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
