Neva Jeanette McDonough, 62, of Mt. Hope, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Clovis, NM on June 19, 1951. She married Cecil Bob Arthur in January 1972, but later divorced. She then married SFC Richard Leroy McDonough in November, 1989. Neva worked at Texas Tech School of Medicine for several years. She was the assistant to the Dean of Pathology, Dr. Dale Dunn, and was the Resident Coordinator in Pathology. She later transferred to Orthopedics as their Resident Coordinator under Dr. Dabazies.
The visitation will be 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Michael Boyd Arthur (wife, Wendy), Mt. Hope; Cecil James “Jimmy” Arthur, Ohio; daughter, Amanda Michelle McDonough, Mt. Hope; granddaughters; Ashley Arthur, Bridgett Arthur; grandsons, Spencer Arthur, Michael Arthur, Jimmy “Jimbo” Arthur, Caleb Arthur, Aven Newell; two great-grandsons, Tristan Arthur, Ryder Arthur; sisters, Teresa Skipper (husband, Tony), Lubbock, TX, Kathy Beckwith (husband, Brad), Omaha, Nebraska; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McDonough and her first born son, Kenneth Sean Arthur.
