Gertrude “Trudy” Kvasnicka McGaha, 82, born in Vienna, Austria, passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Trudy was a member of the Huntsville Newcomers Club, was active in a bridge club and enjoyed playing dominoes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon McGaha, who passed on away on this date nineteen years ago. Trudy is also preceded in death by her father, Johann Kvasnicka; mother, Maria Musil; brother, Johann Kvasnicka; and sister, Margarette “Gretel” Kvasnicka. She is survived by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Paint Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
