Nellie Lipford Williams was born March 22, 1927 in Finger, TN the daughter of the late Marvin U. and Effie B. Wilson Lipford.
She was united in marriage to James E. Williams on November 8, 1945. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on December 11, 1995.
Mrs. Williams was a seamstress at Garan Manufacturing. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in McNairy, Tennessee. When she was able you would often find her working outside especially in her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved her children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams departed this life on October 4, 2013 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 12 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Naylor of Bethel Springs, TN; three brothers, Allan Lipford of Selmer, TN, Bobby Lipford and wife Paula of Aurora, IL, Donald Lipford and wife Gail of Finger, TN; five grandchildren, Vanessa Simmons and husband Ricky of Savannah, TN, Jimmy D. Naylor and wife Lori of Ramer, TN, Robert D. King and wife Christie of Crump, TN, Tammy King of Selmer, TN, Myra Ryder of Pinson, TN; 13 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren; special friends, Guy Harris, Wilber and Marsha Lowrance, Brenda Morgan, Peg Walker, Sarah Canavon; special caregivers at: Volunteer Health Care, At Home Health Care and Prime Care.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Dianne Thompson; a sister, Dorothy Phillips; seven brothers, Arnold Lipford, James Lipford, Raymond Lipford, Everette Lipford, Preston Lipford, Franklin Lipford, Billy Lipford.
