Funeral for Neal Dolen Cottingham, 60, of Hartselle will be today, May 23, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Dennis Terry officiating. Burial will be in Clardy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Cottingham, who died Friday, May 22, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born March 15, 1955, in Lawrence County to Wiley and Sue Cottingham. He enjoyed farming. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, John McCarley.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Richards Cottingham; one son, Dolen Cottingham; four daughters, Sherry Reeves, Bonnie Johnson, Lorie Laymon and Tonya Cottingham; grandchildren, Dustin, Wesley, Jason, Bryan, Seth, Caleb, Eli, Rebekah, Brooklyn, Caitlin and Faith; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Max and Hunter; one brother, Ross Payne of Texas; one sister, Corene Lawrence; and niece and nephews, Jimmy, Luvie and Peanut.
Pallbearers will be Jason Agner, Dustin Young, Bryan Johnson, Wesley Young, Jimmy Cottingham and Peanut Cottingham.
