Nannie B. (Sis) Garrett, of Muscle Shoals, passed away March 13, 2013, at the age of 91 years old. Visitation will be March the 16th at Morrison’s Funeral Home from 11-noon. Her funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Bryan McIntyre, James Goldy and Billy Akers officiating. Special music will be performed by JoAnn Bevis. Burial will be at Shaw Cemetery.
Nannie was a native of Mt. Hope, Ala. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert and Minnie (Whitlock) Davenport; husband, Sam Garrett; brothers, Robert Lee, William Thomas, Woodsie Albert and John Preston (J.P.); sisters, Mozella Johnson, Mildred Davis and Bettye Crosswhite.
She is survived by a host of nieces; and nephews; and brother-in-law, Hoyt Garrett.
Pallbearers are Ricky Rohling, Mark Chamblee, Pinky Willard, Chris Elledge, Darryl Johnson and Billy Akers.
Honorary pallbearer is Kenny Akers.
