Nancy Goss – Obituary

Nancy Goss died on February 8, 2014 at 72 years old. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by Joe, her husband of 52 years, her daughter, Daphne Irby of Columbus, Ohio, her sons, Joseph III of Evansville, Ind. and John of Raleigh, N.C., 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Sienerth; and brother, George Cochis, both of Erie, PA.

Nancy was born in Meadeville, Pa. on Feb. 18, 1941, the eldest daughter of John and Evangeline Cochis. She married Joe on Dec 30, 1961 and they served 30 years together in the US Army. Joe retired as a colonel in 1991 and they moved to Huntsville. Nancy was an avid bowler who loved to participate in national tournaments. She was also an active golfer who loved her Redstone Arsenal Lady Golfers and looked forward to her weekly bingo nights. Her real love, however, was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who always lifted her spirits.

Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at 10:00 am. (www.laughlinservice.com)

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association
