Nancy F. Parks – Obituary

Nancy F. Parks, 78, of Huntsville passed away at her home on Saturday, surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 29, 1934 in Limestone County.

She was a retired civil servant, a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring grandmother, and an enamored great-grandmother.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Suzanne Parks Knight; her son Reginald Parks and his wife Julie Parks; her sister-in-law Reba M. Fry; her grandsons Jeffrey Watson, Samuel Parks, Jordan Nicholas, David Parks, and Michael Parks; and her great-granddaughter Jaelynn Nicholas.

Nancy filled our lives with love, compassion, dignity, and grace. Though she is now gone we will always remember her, and in doing so our lives will be better for it.

The family will receive friends on the evening of August 6, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, Ala. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at the Athens City Cemetery on the morning of August 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Nancy’s memory to Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison, Ala.
