THE SHOALS– The NAACP Tri-County Branch will hold its Annual NAACP Freedom Awards Breakfast
Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 9am at the Mt. Moriah Family Life Center, 820 West Irvine Avenue in Florence,
Alabama. The Speaker for the event will be the Reverend Lyle Lee, President of Huntsville Bible College, and
Rhoda P’s Catering will prepare the breakfast.
The Tri-County Branch, chartered in 1965 to serve Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin Counties. Information

listening their weekly radio program on WZZA Radio on Sunday mornings at 8:30am. Meetings are held on
third Thursdays at 6pm and are open to the public.
Each year, the Tri-County Branch presents Freedom Awards in the categories of Leadership, Youth Service,
Community Service, Civic Duty, Humanitarianism, Education, and Spiritual Guidance to local individuals,
organizations, and businesses. Nomination forms are available at the NAACP Tri-County website, from the
Branch officers, or at WZZA Radio.
Funds raised during the Freedom Awards Banque assist in supporting advocacy of civil rights throughout the
Tri-County area. Tables of eight are $240.00, while individual tickets are $30.00 each. A souvenir program
for the Freedom Award Banquet will feature ads at a cost of $35.00 for a quarter page, $60.00 for half a page,
$100.00 for a full page, $150.00 for the inside front or back cover, and $200.00 for the back cover. Patron ads
are available at $20 each. Ads can be emailed to Secretary@NAACPTriCounty.org. Payments can be mailed
to NAACP at Post Office Box 2110, Muscle Shoals, Alabama 35662.
