Myra W. Nesmith, 86, of Rogersville AL, passed away on Tuesday December 31st, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at 10 am at the Rogersville United Methodist Church followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Oliver-Bedingfield Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Walter Cash will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jared Helms, Nick Moody, Stephen Nesmith, Paul Nesmith, Conner Hall, Matt Moore, Scott Littrell and Ryan Nesmith.

Myra was born on December 3rd, 1938 in Rogersville (Elgin) and lived her early life in Killen. She was a LCHS graduate. Myra was a longtime member of the Rogersville United Church and was greatly involved in the ‘Fish and Loaves’ food bank when it was initiated and for many years to follow. Myra retired from the Lauderdale County School system where she was a librarian at LCHS and later worked at the Rogersville Public Library. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved reading, gospel music and taking care of her family, home, and flowers.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ellen Littrell. She is survived by her brothers Ronnie (Gayle) Littrell, Terry Littrell (and Sandra); and her children Mark (Rhonda) Nesmith, Kerry (Sam) Moody, Keith (Carol) Nesmith, Phillip (Jodie) Nesmith, Lydia (Glenn) Barnett and Wesley (Lisa) Nesmith; and her grandchildren Kristi Speegle, Tara (Jared) Helms, Stephen (Jordan) Nesmith, Amanda (Luis) Cordero, Nick (Misty) Moody, Melissa Moody, Leah Moody, Paul (Niki) Nesmith, Amber Nesmith, Brooke Patterson, Savannah Nesmith, Shelby Nesmith, Ryan (Carly) Nesmith, and Conner Hall; and her 12 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the El Reposo Nursing Facility and staff for the quality care given to our mother over the past years.
