ATHENS-MTM Educational Enrichment is proud to announce its upcoming MTM Unsung Hero Scholarship and Community Heroes Celebration, an inspiring community event recognizing students and local leaders who exemplify excellence, service, and perseverance across Athens and Limestone County.
This year’s celebration will honor 5 MTM Unsung Hero Scholars, 6 MTM Cup recipients, 1 Kingdom Agent, and 10 Community Unsung Heroes who have made meaningful contributions to their schools, families, and community. The event will also include special recognition awards presented to Councilmen Frank Travis and Jimmy Wayne Gill, as well as honors for Brennan Ashmore, Dymon Lockett, and Devin Howell.
The MTM Unsung Hero Scholarship continues to uplift students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and resilience while overcoming personal and financial challenges. Many recipients are first-generation college students, foster youth, or students balancing school, work, and family responsibilities.
