Mozelle Phillips Sandlin Barnett, age 95, of Sumiton passed away at her home on September 6, 2022.
Mrs. Barnett was a lifelong resident of Sumiton. She was a member of the Sumiton Church of God.
Funeral services will be Thursday Sept. 8, 22 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Andy Frazier will officiate. Burial will follow in McCormack Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 10-11 am.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James (Happy) Sandlin, husband Charlie Barnett, daughter Regina Phillips, stepson Charlie Barnett, Jr and Gene Barnett. Parents Arthur and Alta Phillips, sisters Helen (Harold) Aaron, Frances (Jimmy) Sides.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Gravlee (David), son-in-law Jimmy Phillips, stepson and daughter George Barnett (Anita), Buddy Barnett (Venessa), Joe Barnett (Glenda), Jimmy Barnett (Brenda), Sue Lane, Janie Barnett, Debbie Barnett. Grandson, Steven Gravlee (Amy), Brannon Gravlee (Lisa) and Anthony Phillips. Six great grandchildren, Madison Bertch, Olivia Gravlee, Ethan Gravlee, Owen Gravlee, Jackson Gravlee and Ava Gravlee.
Special people in her life Tracy Gravlee, Nieces Leneda Jones, Anna Carreker. Nephews Brian Sides, Jason Aaron; many dear family, friends and neighbors.
