NAUVOO-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Walker County involving a motorcycle has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:29 a.m. Thursday, July 25, has claimed the life of a Nauvoo man.
Joseph K. McLendon, 56, was fatally injured when the 1986 Yamaha FZ600 motorcycle he was operating left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. McLendon was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on New Oak Grove Road near Busby Church Road, approximately two miles southeast of Nauvoo, in Walker County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
