MORGAN COUNTY-The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has had a busy July with several drug arrests. Over the weekend of July 19th and 20th deputies made several arrest as well asarrests made on Monday July 21st The Morgan County Drug Task Force and the Morgan County K-9 Deputy made a drug bust in Danville on Monday, July 21st. Here is how Sheriff Ana Franklin describe the events leading up to and the arrest of these individuals on drug charges:
“Over the weekend of July 19-20, deputies made several drug arrests throughout Morgan County. The first incident started Saturday when deputies were dispatched to Nanceford Road, just outside Hartselle City limits to answer a criminal mischief complaint. Deputies discovered that the suspect, Milford Steven Williams, had an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies made contact with Williams at 3147 Nanceford Rd., and placed him under arrest for the warrant. Deputies spoke with his wife, Teresa McDonald and determined that there was possibly a meth lab at the residence. The Morgan County Drug Task Force was called and secured a search warrant. Agents discovered two One-Pot meth labs at the residence, along with finished methamphetamine, lithium batteries, fuel, lye, cold packs, acid, HCL gas generator, and coffee filters. Agents arrested Milford Williams, 53, and Teresa McDonald, 59, for Unlawful Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 1st, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Danville VFD was called to decontaminate the subjects. They were taken to Morgan County Jail with a bond of $505,000.00 each, set by Judge Thompson.
Later that evening, deputies stopped a vehicle on U.S. Hwy 231 in Lacey Springs for a traffic violation. Deputies obtained consent to search and discovered a box of Claritin-D cold medicine, along with syringes, a spoon, and morphine pills. Drug agents responded and determined that Veronica Ragsdale, 50, and Shannon Blue, 43, had purchased the cold medicine to manufacture meth with. Agents charged Ragsdale with Unlawful Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 2nd. Her bond is set at $5,000.00. Blue was charged with Unlawful Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 2nd, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Morphine), and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond is set at $7,800.00. Both subjects remain in the Morgan County Jail.
Around midnight, Hartselle Police stopped a suspicious person walking on Crestline Dr., after receiving a complaint that she was yelling at cars. Hartselle officers discovered meth, Xanax, and Suboxone in the subject’s purse. Drug agents responded and arrested Sara Leeann Lavender for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Xanax), and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Suboxone). Lavender, 36, was taken to Morgan County Jail, with a bond set at $7,500.00. Lavender, however, is out on bond from a burglary earlier in the month and will be facing bond revocation.

Still at large Timothy Wayne Brown
“On Monday, July 21st, 2014, the Morgan County Drug Task Force, along with Morgan County K-9 Deputy, went to the residence located at 87 Roberts Rd. in Danville. Agents had learned that Timothy Wayne Brown, 40, was manufacturing meth at the residence, and had also learned that Brown was purchasing

pseudoephedrine illegally, due to a previous conviction of manufacturing methamphetamine. The conviction was from 2013. Agents obtained arrest warrants for Mr. Brown for the Illegal Purchase or Attempt to Purchase Pseudoephedrine. Agents arrived at the residence and made contact with Darrell Bruce Reeves, 34. Mr. Reeves was known to have outstanding warrants from Falkville P.D. Agents also knew that Reeves had led Hartselle Police on a high-speed chase earlier in the day. The chase was terminated as it crossed into Lawrence County. Agents made entry into the residence and observed cold packs, lithium batteries, and a box of cold medicine containing pseudoephedrine. Agents secured the residence, and obtained a search warrant for the residence and property. Judge Thompson signed a search warrant for the property and residence. Agents located a One-Pot meth lab, HCL gas generator, empty cold medicine box, lye, Drano, acid, and fuel.
Mr. Reeves was decontaminated by Punkin Center VFD and transported to the Morgan County Jail. Mr. Reeves was charged with Unlawful Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 1st, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Reeves has a bond total of $757,500.00 set by Judge Thompson.
Timothy Wayne Brown “Timbo” is still at large at this time. Brown has active felony warrants for Unlawful Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 1st, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
