HARTSELLE-On Sunday, April 13th, 2025, Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Sheriff’s Patrol Division and K9 Unit, conducted an operation in Hartselle resulting in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine and the arrest of one individual.
Ruben De La Cruz Diaz
Ruben De La Cruz Diaz, 24 of Labelle, Florida, was placed under arrest for Trafficking in Cocaine after Agents and Deputies located two kilograms of cocaine concealed within his vehicle.
Diaz was transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail. A Morgan County Circuit Judge set a $250,000.00 cash bond. Additionally, an ICE detainer was put in place pending verification of the subject’s immigration status.
